Read to me :
The main reason for the things we do in our everyday life is to pursue happiness. All of us without exception, wanted to be happy and to be free from pain.
We want to be rich so that money will make us happy and solve our problems. We want to be successful because we believe success will make us happy. We want to get marry because we believe that the other person will make us happy. Some of us want to have kids because we believe kids will make the marriage life happier. Others who don’t want to have kids because they believe kids will not bring as much happiness but more pain.
When we examine closely at our life, we are consistently in pursuit of happiness. To many of us, happiness seems to be always in a distant planet. When we get married, our honey moon happiness does not seems to last long as we face the real facts of debt. When we have children, the joy that our kids brings us seems to be over shadowed by the pain of taking care of them. When we achieve success, that happiness feeling does not seems to last for more than a week. Is happiness out of our reach?
In the next 3 entry, we will show you 3 methods to increase your happiness instantly.
For now, let’s listen to what others think of happiness.
Albert Schweitzer: Happiness is nothing more than good health and a bad memory.
Benjamin Disraeli: Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action.
Edith Wharton: If only we’d stop trying to be happy we’d have a pretty good time.
George Sand: There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved.
Mohandas K. Gandhi: Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
Ramona L. Anderson: People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within.
