Why Do I Have Bad Luck?

April 25th, 2008 . by admin

Read to me :

Why do I have bad luck? Why is bad luck attracted to me? Why life love to ill treat me? Why other people have to do that to me? Why can’t I get what I want?

These are the questions running through our minds now and then. We always try to avoid bad luck and try all means to seek good luck.

In simple terms, bad luck is simply getting what you dislike and good luck is getting what you like. For example, money gets you what you like and therefore getting more money is good luck. Work is something disliked by many people and therefore getting more work is bad luck.

Then what is stopping you and me from getting good luck instead of bad luck? I found 3 answers.

  • God.
  • Karma.
  • Character.

The 3 reasons will be explained further in the next 3 articles.

Determine Your Luck Level

Read to me :

The first step in solving any problem is to know where you are. Knowing where you are enables you to know that if a luck improvement method you are using, works or not. Knowing where you are helps you to understand your situation better and therefore helps you in determining which area needs improvement first.

I am not asking you to check any palmistry, numerology or horoscope. You just need to do the following for the next 7 days.

  • Count Your Blessing : For the next 7 days, count your blessing for each day. Write them down in a small booklet that fits into your wallet. Counting your blessing helps your to determine the level of good luck in your life. Then why not count your unhappiness in your life? The reason is that your unhappiness may not be due to your luck. Your unhappiness can be created by your ego or your desire. If I start counting what I don’t have, the list can be very long depending on how greedy I am. Even the rich and powerful people have unfulfilled desires and cravings. It is just like eating chocolates. Eating a piece of chocolate may not satisfied your craving. Eating a box of chocolate will not even make you stop craving.
  • Compare With People Around You : This is the easy part. All of us are born with the ability to constantly compare ourselves with others. Everyday, every minute, we are comparing our body, our looks, our dressing, our house, our car, our children, our spouse and even our job with what other people have. Now write them down. For each item that you loose to the other person, write down something you win over him.  Maybe you feel your shoes are shiny than his. Maybe you feel your lips, head, hair, or even big toe looks better than his. Just write down anything you win over him,  for each comparison that you loose to him. A win is a win, no matter how insignificant it is. If you cannot find any winning comparison, look harder at him, his belongings, his friends and even his family. There must be something that you are better than him.
  • Compare With The Less Fortunate : There are these famous words : "I complained of having no shoes until I met a man with no feet.". Compare yourself with the less fortunate people you know. Search the internet for photos of people who are starving, illiterate, old, sick, insane, beggars and handicapped.  Many of us are blinded by what we don’t have, than to see what we have. This step will help you to see what you have : a normal look, a working body with all parts intact, a mind that can think, youth and more.

Counting your blessings everyday using the above 3 steps will be beneficial to you in many ways:

  • You will have an idea of how good or bad your current situation is. You will see that although your luck is not as good as you want, but it is not as bad as you think. This will boost your confidence.
  • You can judge whether the luck enhancement methods you are applying now or going to apply, works for you or against you.

Luck Chart

Read to me :

I receive some feedback from readers asking how to improve luck. One reader mentions that he has been in bad luck for some time and wanted to know how to improve his luck.

In fact, all of us, including me, are trying to improve our luck. Some of us may not believe in luck and call this as improving life. Whether you are improving your life or improving your luck, they are very much the same.

I spend many years seeking the technique to improve luck, to ward off bad luck and to get rich. Since my childhood years, I have been wondering why things are the way they are. Why I am not born rich? Why do I need to suffer in school and work? Why some people are born so rich and why some people are born handicapped? Why some people died young, some people died sick and a small number of people died peacefully?

Why? Why? Why? Frankly, until today, I am still seeking the answer.

My Theory Of Luck

Everyone’s luck fluctuate day to day. Some days are good luck days. Some days are normal days when nothing is happening. Other days are bad luck days when nothing goes right.

In my opinion, no matter how good or bad your luck is, your luck fluctuate about a center line. If you plot your luck on a graph, your luck graph will look like this.

Everyone’s luck goes up and down about a center line. Some people call this center line as fate or destiny. Others label this line as their karma for this life.

The position or value of the center line varies for different people. The lucky people will have higher values for their center lines. The unlucky ones will have a lower value for their center line. This value does not depend on the wealth of the person. There are lucky people among the poor and middle class, just as there are unlucky people in the rich and upper class.

The chart shows that the number of cycles above the center line will always be the same as the number of cycles below the center line. For a lucky person whose luck cycle fluctuate about a large positive value, this person may experience little misfortune because the down cycles do not drop to very low value. In the same manner, an unlucky person may have a low value for his center line and never experience very big blessing because his up cycles never hit a high value. There are also people whose luck chart always fluctuate in the positive or negative region only.

People use many methods to calculate the value of this center line. Below are some of the methods used.

  • Palmistry
  • Astrology
  • Numerology
  • ZiWei

The degree of fluctuation also varies from person to person. Some people’s luck never change much throughout their life and will have a flat luck chart. Others may have big ups and downs in their life, thereby creating a noisy luck chart. Most of us have different level of fluctuations in different period of our life.

The good news is that the center line is not fixed but can varies up or down. In the next few articles, we will discuss how we can move this center line upwards.

Wishing Well

April 3rd, 2008 . by admin

Read to me :

Everyone who passes a fountain or a wishing well, will always toss a coin into the water for good luck. This tradition started in ancient Greeks. The ancient Greeks believe that by giving gifts of money to the gods living in the well, the well will not dry up. Those who live by the sea, also present gifts of money to the gods living in the sea. They believe that by doing so, the gods will be happy and will not destroy their boats.

To make your wish come true through the wishing well, you need to look at your reflection in the water first before you make a wish and then throw the coin into the wishing well. You also need to remember that in some places like Rome, the gods in the well only accept no less than 3 coins to fulfill your wish.

Many people also believe that carrying a coin made in your year of birth, will bring you luck. If you cannot find such a coin, a coin made in a leap year, will also bring you luck.

You can keep jar of coins in your kitchen or feng shui wealth corner of your house to attract more wealth and luck into your house. In feng shui,  if you hide this jar in the cupboard, it will bring you treasures and fortunes.
